My brain sits atop a decaying barstool with a frayed red velvet cushion. To his right, a half-drunk gin and tonic sits in a sweaty glass. He's holding a cigarette with two inches of ash in a yellow plastic holder. He wears black plastic sunglasses and a black felt hat.
I watch from disembodied eyes as my brain tosses three chips onto a square that says "cerebellum." He watches as the marble bounces along the wheel. He cheers as the marble lands in a black space, and my legs give out from under me. I wake up like I've been falling.
