three. i have been wanting to publish a maple dictionary, to attempt to record all of her funny words before she gets so good at speaking and i don't remember how she said things now. (nice use of verb tenses, no?). so here is a partial list of the adorable ways in which our lovely daughter slaughters the english language.
- "rindy" = raisin
- "cookoo" = cookie
- tonight she said "SALSA" but i guess that doesn't count
- "shooshi" = sushi
- "patzoo" = pretzel
- "bey" = belly
- "pasha" = portia
- "shawna" = sauna
- she can say "sean" and that is what she calls him
- "peace" = please
- "koan" = popcorn
- "poot" = comPUTer
- "shouw" = shower
- "shiht" = shirt
- "fuck" = sock (although sometimes she says "sock" too)
- "gaga" = duck, rubber ducky
- "tee" = tv, which she enjoys watching while eating
- "hees" = hillary, her best friend
- "naws" = nose
- "ah-pot" = ipod
- "fff" = scarf
- "po" = "pillow"
- "baba" = bottle
- "dink" = drink
- "key" = kitty
- "gogoo" = yogurt
- "bee" = peanut or almond butter
- "owweee" = ouch
- "saw-ee" = sorry
- and here are some things she can say just fine: book, pen, baby, sleepy (or seepy or seepies), pants, shoes, arf, pig, toes, foot, eyes, hand, eat, YEAH!, nope, no, sit, bed, hat, mama, dada, rock, chip, coat, walk
