obama baden

Last week I hastily admitted my confusion upon encountering a sign that said "Obama Biden." (I thought it meant "Vote Obama" in German). Then the other day, my dad told me that the word in German is baden, not biden. I neglected to ask him what baden means in German. It turns out "Obama baden" means "Obama takes a bath." So I'm wondering, Obama, why not a shower?
