failing the pencil test

today is a sad day indeed. for over 30 years i have proudly passed the pencil test. those days are over. a certain baby-related activity has finally made necessary that most hated of female accoutrements. you know, the one i have avoided wearing lo these 30 years. tiny ta-tas are way underrated.

in other news, i made a really great risotto last night. it was a mexican style risotto, which is a bit odd since risotto is clearly italian. i used white wine again, but this time a different stock -- imagine's no-chicken broth. very tasty! aside from the usual onion and rice and stock, this version included spicy vegan chorizo, rainbow chard, grape tomatoes (cut in half), green chiles from the can, and garlic. it rocked! i was very impressed. i think that i need to research and buy some better rice though, this stuff from the grocery store isn't so great. anyone know of any good arborio rice that's available on the internet?

Welcome to my world- perma dents in shoulders and back, wierd lines showing through shirts, straps hanging out...you'll see! But it makes for a bright spot every day- when you walk through the front door and rip it off!

Try going from a very perky DD to barely a floppy C.
