I love this picture, taken last week when sean was watching CURSHEES.
Today we had our first showing of the house. Since we listed the house, I have had a hunch that the first person to see the house would buy it, since we bought it the day before it went on the market, and we were the only people to see it. So this afternoon we were all taking a nap, and we had left (correction, I had left) like 100 dirty dishes in the kitchen with smelly food in them. It could only have been worse if there were actual roaches crawling around.
So we're sleeping and we hear the doorbell ring, and suddenly there are two women in the house, and we race to put some clothes on and run outside in the backyard, muttering apologies as we run through the living room, past the potential buyer and the kitchen full of dirty smelly dishes. Not our best work!
After the woman walked around the house for what seemed like an eternity, we went back into the house and started cleaning the kitchen madly, as if our haste could rewind the day and make our first showing of the house a little less trashy.
About halfway through the dishes, we got a phone call that the woman wants to come back tomorrow with her contractor to see if she can add on to the house. So despite our worst efforts, my hunch may prove true.
Now we're watching BENTS (arrested development) and digesting our mac and cheese (vegan style) and contemplating doing more housework so the place sparkles for tomorrow...

perhaps if you guys hadn't ingested so much frosting, you would have been better prepared.
